In this tutorial I'll be taking you through the steps of making a font in Adobe Illustrator.
I'll be using both the programs fontself and fontlab. I find it useful to use both when working but the tutorial is designed so that you can use just one if you need to.
This class will b with drawing the font using the line and shape tools, and then going through multi-lingual fonts, kerning, ligatures and weights, as well as exporting.
By the end you should be able to produce your own sans serif!
If however you're still in need of a font, ponte, the font designed in the lessons is available from my creative market shop.
