In this course, learners will take a deep dive look at the history and genesis of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). Topics will include the learning path course tools and how to best optimize your learning experience, a review of the IP-based solutions that preceded MPLS, the definition of key terms and foundational MPLS concepts, and a comprehensive look at the control & data planes. All course simulations are done using Cisco's Virtual Internet Routing Lab (VIRL).
