In London she worked as an IT teacher and was challenged in her faith by one of her students. After a week of prayer and fasting during which she sought God a series of dreams, signs, revelations and answers to prayer convinced her that Jesus (Issa) was not just a Prophet, as she had been taught in Islam, but was indeed God Himself come as a human. Salma was baptised but lived as a secret christian for a number of years before declaring her new faith to her family. After an interrogation by her family back in Zanzibar she was rejected by them and had to forge her new life alone. Now an ordained evangelist Salma seeks to reach others with the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ.
