The course begins with fundamental concepts of reservoir engineering, including pressure types, measurement techniques, and well testing principles. Special emphasis is placed on converting pressure data to a common datum and understanding flow regimes, enabling engineers to correctly interpret reservoir conditions.The second chapter focuses on waterflooding as a key recovery mechanism, covering injection strategies, pattern design, Voidage Replacement Ratio (VRR), and production allocation techniques. Participants will learn how to evaluate volumetric balance, diagnose inefficiencies, and build practical surveillance dashboards to monitor field performance.Chapter three dives into PVT analysis and fluid behavior, highlighting how fluid properties impact reservoir performance, simulation, and material balance. The course includes hands-on methods for validating laboratory PVT data through consistency checks and understanding common sources of error.The final chapter introduces Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) for production forecasting, including model selection, limitations, and best practices.
